(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A leader of al-Qaeda was arrested on Wednesday in one of the areas of the province, he is the second detainee in recent days, According to a police source in Anbar province.An official military source has revealed, earlier on Wednesday, arresting a senior leader of “Islamic State of Iraq”, in a security operation in Anbar province.“A police force and of intelligence Interior carried out joint security operation this afternoon as we were able to arrest the chief administrative officer of al -Qaeda so-called Wali of of Anbar , Adnan al-Awesi,” the source told “Shafaq News”.“Police forces took the arrested to a security center to conduct preliminary investigations with him and submit him to the competent authorities to supplement other legal proceedings,” the source added.The security forces have launched a large-scale campaign in Anbar, with the participation of 20 thousand elements called “Ghost Operation “in pursuit of what the government said they as “al-Qaeda terrorists”.The operation took place in the midst of security tensions witnessed by the province and the tribe’s gunmen threat to military forces of targeting them if not leave Anbar.The Iraqi army commanders say that most of al-Qaeda camps in Iraq are stationed in Anbar uninhabited desert.The ground forces Commander, Ali Ghaidan, who oversees the process “Ghost “operation announced earlier controlling the “biggest” al-Qaeda camps during the operation.Security chiefs concern in Iraq, as well as politicians of a return to sectarian violence which Iraqis still live, where most of the bombings targeted areas with a majority Shiite population, followed by explosions towards the Sunni-dominated areas./129
